Development Description

Significant city centre urban regeneration project delivered by Linden Homes and the Homes & Communities Agency. The proposal involved the demolition of the former Gloscat school buildings and the delivery of a residential-led scheme, with significant commercial floorspace given the site’s location adjacent to the central shopping district. The site was heavily constrained by archaeological remains, which have required extensive digs throughout the development.

Planning Process

CSJ Planning co-ordinated and produced an Environmental Statement to support the planning application on behalf of the applicants. Upon the grant of planning permission, the consent was subsequently varied to facilitate the delivery of the site on a phased basis. CSJ Planning have managed the discharge of conditions attached to the grant of consent on an ongoing basis since the granting of the original consent in 2012.
