Development Description

Clifton College is a highly-regarded and well established private boarding school, located within Clifton. The campus is predominately located within the Clifton and Howells Conservation Area and contains 12 listed buildings ranges from grade II to grade II*. The campus is surrounded by large detached Victorian villas in private ownership as well as Bristol Zoo to the north.  Given the ever changing nature of education facilities and their growing demands, Clifton College is considered very constrained in planning terms.

Planning Process

CSJ planning have advised the College over the last 10 years on a wide range of different aspects. These include the change of use of properties within the college’s portfolio, planning & listed building consent applications, minor works applications and general advice to the estates team on planning matters. Currently CSJ are advising the college on the provision of sports facilities.
