Winners at Housing Design Awards and Tintagel Bridge shortlisted for 2021 RIBA Stirling Prize

Two high profile developments for which CSJ Planning secured planning permission have received professional recognition.

Last week, Bonnington Walk was a winner at the annual Housing Design Awards.  The scheme, which is under construction, will deliver 185 dwellings, up to 50% of which will be affordable, associated Public Open Space, an enhanced Site of Nature Conservation Interest and significantly upgraded strategic cycle route.  The homes will be fabricated off-site and will be highly sustainable, speeding up the construction phase of the development and accelerating housing delivery within Bristol.

Elsewhere, Tintagel Castle Footbridge is one of six schemes shortlisted for the 2021 RIBA Stirling Prize.  Acting on behalf of English Heritage, in 2017 CSJ Planning obtained planning permission for a footbridge that would link the mainland Ward of the Castle to the island Ward over a chasm left when the land bridge collapsed deep in our past history.  The bridge was officially opened in 2019, improving accessibility and reinstating a crossing to connect the two parts of the Castle site.

CSJ Planning is proud to have been involved in the delivery of these key projects.  It is extremely satisfying to see formal recognition being awarded.
