Resolution to Grant for Major Mixed-Use Development on Former Petrol Filling Station, Bath Road, Bristol

A resolution to grant full planning permission subject to the signing of a S106 has been secured for the large residential led mixed use redevelopment of the former petrol filling station on Bath Road, Bristol on behalf of Hadley Property Group.

The application comprised a 17 storey tower together with two smaller blocks ranging from 3 to 7 storeys in height providing 152 residential dwellings, 20% of which are affordable. 418sqm commercial floor space is provided at ground floor level.

A number of complex issues required extensive negotiation including engagement with the Environment Agency regarding flood risk and land stability, the local highway authority regarding access and servicing and City Design Group over the size and appearance of the tower.

The implementation of this consent will compliment and add to the rapidly changing environment in and around the entrance to the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.
