New cricket nets for Clifton College
CSJ Planning Consultants have this week secured two new planning consents within the city of Bristol. Full permission was given to Clifton College for the installation of an international-standard cricket net facility at their main campus in Clifton. The facility features extensive acoustic mitigation, fencing, new footpaths and lighting, and is a sensitive response to the surrounding historic landscape and amenities of neighbouring residents. The proposals follow a collaborative design process with key stakeholders and reflect the ongoing commitment of the College to sporting provision in the city. Consent was also granted for amendments to an existing scheme for the conversion and extension of a former motorcycle showroom in Stokes Croft. The amendments refine the key public façade of the scheme and improve the constructability of the extension, ensuring the earlier delivery of a new café, offices and eight residential apartments to this vibrant city-centre neighbourhood.
