Clifton College/English and Modern Foreign Language Centre

Clifton College/English and Modern Foreign Language Centre

CSJ Planning Consultants have recently negotiated two Planning and Listed Building Consents for the conversion of 4/5 Worcester Road, Clifton. They allow a change of use from Office to Education for the purpose of providing a new English and Modern Foreign Languages Centre for Clifton College. 4-5 Worcester Road comprises a pair of early Victorian Buildings with a 1980’s extension. In addition to securing the change of use a number of internal and external works have been consented in order to modernise the building for its new purpose. CSJ Planning Consultants worked closely with the College, immediate neighbours and Bristol City Council in order to meet the brief, whilst overcoming concerns raised by the conversion of the building and some of the external works. Many of the other buildings on Worcester Road are owned and operated by Clifton College and the acquisition and conversion of 4/5 Worcester Road has provided the opportunity to improve teaching facilities at the College and integrate this building into the wider Campus.
